ACTING
Leila first encountered Shakespeare at 12 years old and fell in love with the Bard’s imagery and poetry. Before jumping into theater, she nurtured her passion for performance through dance by building a strong choreographic portfolio and artistic voice. Later, she eventually merged her artistic instincts with classical, Shakespearean theater training. She prides herself on building electric, raw, and humane characters in stories that she hopes will change audiences for good.
In addition to acting, Leila devises her own work. She is driven by creating art that activates audiences to take action and change our world for the better.
Leila has studied at the British American Drama Academy, Atlantic Theater School, Oregon Shakespeare Festival Summer Seminar, and Brown University.
